Delta is currently experiencing some delays and cancellations following an evacuation at the FAA Air Traffic Control Center in Leesburg, Va. A significant number of airports in the Mid-Atlantic region, including the major Washington, D.C. airports, are currently being impacted. In addition, New York-LaGuardia (LGA) and Atlanta (ATL) are experiencing some congestion related to the issue. As of 10 p.m. ET Monday, five flights have been cancelled.

Delta has issued a change fee waiver to assist customers whose travel plans may be affected. The waiver covers customers traveling to, from or through Baltimore-Washington (BWI), Washington-Dulles (IAD) or Washington-Reagan (DCA) on July 10-11, 2017. More information is available at delta.com.

Delta is working with customers to accommodate those affected, and continues to monitor the situation. Delta advises that customers flying Monday evening and Tuesday check delta.com and the Fly Delta app for the latest information on their flight status.
