Online tech community Hot Topics named Tim Mapes, Delta’s Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, among the 100 Most Innovative CMOs globally.
Members of the Hot Topics community selected Mapes from more than 600 nominees. Judges were asked to select individuals who had a proven track record in contributing to sustained business growth and strengthening global brand awareness through innovative campaigns.
“The best CMOs realize they set a culture to drive successful outcomes for consumers and their brands,” said one of this year’s judges, Andrew Kapryzycki.
“Being innovative in our approach to anticipating customer needs and delivering a thoughtful and reliable customer experience is Delta’s brand promise,” Mapes said. “I’m incredibly proud to be part of a culture committed to creatively delivering on that across all points of the customer travel experience – any recognition Delta receives for that goes to Delta people around the world far more than it does to me.”
Mapes is responsible for the airline’s global brand, product development, distribution and all related marketing, advertising and promotional activities including community affairs. His background includes 28 years of agency and client-side experience and has been inducted to the Hall of Achievement by the American Advertising Federation.
