Stephen E. Gorman

Stephen E. Gorman is executive vice president and chief operating officer of Delta Air Lines. He is responsible for Airport Customer Service; Corporate Safety, Security and Compliance; Delta Connection; Delta Global Services; Flight Operations; In-Flight Service; Operations Control Center; Supply Chain Management; and Technical Operations.

Steve also is the Chair of Delta’s Diversity Council, which is focused on accelerating talent development and diverse leadership within the company.

Steve joined Delta from Greyhound Lines, Inc., where he served as chief executive officer and spearheaded their four-year financial turnaround. Prior to that, he served as president of the North America division for Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. and executive vice president of Flight Operations and Technical Operations at Northwest Airlines.

Steve also served as chairman of the Board of Directors for Pinnacle Airlines, Inc. from 2003 to 2007 and as a director for Rohn Industries, Inc. from 2000 to 2003 and TIMCO Aviation Services, Inc. from 2001 to 2004.

Steve serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council for the University of Michigan School of Art and Design, and the Business Leaders for Michigan.

Steve has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Eureka College and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Bradley University.
