Michael H. Campbell

Michael H. Campbell is executive vice president – Human Resources and Labor Relations and a nationally recognized expert in employment and labor matters.

Mike joined Delta from the Atlanta-based law firm Ford & Harrison LLP, where he was a founding partner. Under Mike’s leadership, Delta has implemented programs for sharing company success with employees at all levels, including profit sharing, stock awards and monthly payouts for non-management employees based on key operational metrics. Delta, with Mike’s guidance, also has established employee-led nonprofit funds, including the Employee & Retiree Care Fund which provides financial assistance to those facing an unavoidable and unexpected crisis, and Delta Scholarship Fund which provides academic scholarships to qualified employees and their family members. Mike has been instrumental in helping to continue Delta’s more than 80-year history of treating employees with respect.

In addition to providing labor counsel to Fortune 500 companies for 25 years, Mike's career includes a similar position at Continental Airlines where, for six of his eight years there, Fortune Magazine selected the company among the 100 Best Places to Work. During his career Mike has been known for promoting an inclusive, diverse, and respectful culture where employees across all workgroups, together with management, are engaged and collaborating on initiatives that are rewarding for both the company and its people.

Mike graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Richmond in 1971 and received his law degree from the University of Virginia in 1974. He is a member of the State Bar of Georgia.
