ATLANTA, Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today reported traffic results for September 2009. System traffic in September 2009, including both Delta and Northwest operations, decreased 5.2 percent compared to September 2008 on a 6.7 percent decrease in capacity. Load factor increased 1.4 points to 82.6 percent.
Domestic traffic decreased 3.3 percent year over year on a 3.9 percent decrease in capacity. Domestic load factor increased 0.5 points to 82.0 percent. International traffic decreased 7.8 percent year over year on a 10.5 percent decrease in capacity, and load factor increased 2.5 points to 83.3 percent.
