Deltas’ amenity kits are getting a face-lift that will make Delta customers smile. The refreshed Delta One kits, which were introduced on board beginning July 1, combine two premium, high-quality brands – TUMI and Kiehl’s Since 1851 – to create an apothecary in the sky, rejuvenating skin on Delta’s longest flights.

Here are some tips for staying hydrated and traveling like a pro on those long-haul flights:

Choose the right cloth

A garment bag is great, but what kind of suits really travel well? David Chu, creative director at bagmaker TUMI, recommends one made of high twist wool, for men or women. “They don’t wrinkle,” he says, adding they even look perfect after a flight to Asia.

Pack similar colors

“Sometimes you have to wake up at 4:30 or 5 a.m., and you don’t want to think too hard about what to wear,” says Jerome Griffith, president and chief executive of TUMI. And anything that can help you sleep a little longer can help you be a little sharper.

A backpack can be business-appropriate

A black leather backpack is a great personal item. It’s easier to carry and if you get one that’s very sleek and very modern, you can take it to a business meeting or use it when you’re traveling for pleasure.

A drop of lotion can take hours off your appearance

Keeping your skin soft and moisturized can counter the effects of hours on a plane. Apply a little lotion and lip balm before, during, and after your flight. It’ll help anyone wake up fresh after a long-haul trip.

Drink lots of water

Staying moisturized starts from the inside. Drink twice as much water as you normally would to help your skin out while you’re in the air. There’s a reason the beverage cart comes around that often — take advantage. It’s not for our health. It’s for yours.

On July 1, new Delta One amenity kits featuring products from Kiehl’s Since 1851 and a soft or hard TUMI case will be available on transoceanic flights and long-haul trips between New York – JFK and Los Angeles International Airport/San Francisco International Airport.

In addition to Kiehl’s Since 1851, the Delta One kits will include a TUMI soft touch pen and eye shades, striped socks, a dental kit, tissues, mouthwash and ear plugs.

To celebrate the launch of the refreshed kits, Delta flight attendants handed out complimentary Kiehl's samples at the New York City flagship store as well as Kiehl’s Nolita and Hell’s Kitchen store locations and to customers at the gate prior to boarding select flights between John F. Kennedy Airport and San Francisco International Airport/ Los Angeles International Airport. Customers are also able to participate in an online social media contest by sharing their best travel tips for a chance to win prizes from TUMI and Kiehl’s. Visit Facebook.com/Delta for more information.
