Dreaming about a getaway? A new way to pay for upcoming travel is now available for Delta SkyMiles American Express Card Members. Plan It, American Express’s “Buy Now, Pay Later” feature, is a new checkout option on delta.com that gives American Express U.S. Consumer Card Members even more control over how to pay for their next trip.
This is just one of the many ways Delta SkyMiles American Express Cards help make the journey more convenient and enjoyable – whether a customer is a seasoned traveler or just getting started. Read on for more details on how the Card can help:
Enjoy more flexibility and control before you even step out the door.
Starting Feb. 17, Delta and Amex are debuting a new payment option at checkout that gives customers more control over how they pay for travel. With Plan It on Delta now available on delta.com, eligible American Express Card Members will have more options to pay for flights: through a seamless checkout experience, customers can choose to create monthly payment plans with a fixed fee with Plan It, carry a balance with interest, or pay in full.
If customers want to pay with a combination of miles and cash when using their Delta SkyMiles American Express Card, they can take advantage of the Pay with Miles benefit, which allows all Card Members to take up to $50 off the cost of their flight for every 5,000 miles redeemed on delta.com.
Pack what you need.
Whether customers need to bring an extra pair of shoes or leave more room for souvenirs, a free checked bag is key for smoother travel. Gold, Platinum and Reserve Card Members can check their first bag for free on Delta flights for the Card Member and up to eight companions in their reservation – that’s up to $60 round-trip savings per person.
Breeze through TSA.
Travel with ease – and with shoes on and laptop stowed! – while going through security. Platinum and Reserve Card Members receive either a $85 statement credit every 4.5 years after they apply for TSA PreCheck or a $100 statement credit every 4 years after they apply for Global Entry (which comes with access to TSA PreCheck) using their Card.
Wait for your flight in style.
Reserve Card Members enjoy complimentary access to Delta Sky Club locations so they can dine, drink, work or unwind before a Delta flight. They also receive access to more airport retreats around the world with access to Centurion Lounges, travel lounges exclusively for Amex Card Members, when flying Delta.
Have a long layover? Platinum Card Members can also enjoy access to Delta Sky Clubs at $39 per visit, a benefit that’s exclusive to Card Members.
Settle into your seat sooner.
Gold, Platinum and Reserve American Express Card Members can board early, stow their carry-on bags and settle into their seats sooner with Priority Boarding in Main Cabin 1.
Staying home? Earn extra miles at your favorite restaurant.
Customers can earn extra miles on everyday purchases at restaurants and U.S. supermarkets with the Gold and Platinum Consumer American Express Cards.
