Powered by a mission to put money where miracles are, Delta’s Atlanta airport team rallied to support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Earlier this week, the Delta team presented the organization with a check for $410,000.

The donation was raised through local fundraising efforts and their 9th Annual Children’s Miracle Network Golf Classic held on Oct. 9. Over the past nine years, the Atlanta hub has donated more than $1.8 million to support research, and training, purchase equipment and pay for uncompensated care.

“Delta has been a proud supporter of Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 1998,” said Greg Kennedy, Senior Vice President – Atlanta Operations.  “Today’s contribution will support Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and save lives. It is likely these funds will help support people we know, even our own employees.”

Every minute, 62 children enter one of the Children’s Miracle Network facilities across the U.S. and Canada for treatment. The healthcare provider and its supporters remain united under a single vision, “Together we save kids’ lives.”

Earlier this year, Delta supported the group’s Ambassador Tour, 53 pediatric patients and their families from across the country were invited on a private Delta-chartered flight to the nation’s capital to raise awareness for the charitable needs of children’s hospitals.
