Delta has been named to Black Enterprise magazine’s list of the 50 Top Companies for Supplier Diversity.
Delta is the only airline to make the list. Among the criteria for inclusion are key barometers of supplier diversity excellence – diverse spend, national awards and recognition and overall corporate commitment to diversity and program innovation. This is the second time that Delta has received the honor, reflecting its company-wide commitment to diversity and inclusion.
In addition, the Supplier Diversity team is launching a supplier development program called the Supplier Diversity Academy. The program will mentor diverse suppliers, help them build capacity and accelerate their overall readiness to do business with Delta.
Delta also has made a commitment to becoming a member of the Billion Dollar Roundtable, an exclusive group of corporate brands that spend a minimum of $1 billion annually with certified minority and woman-owned businesses.
Delta’s annual Star Awards recognition event – highlighted in the August edition of Sky magazine – celebrates the achievements of Delta’s diverse suppliers and internal Delta team members who are strong advocates of supplier diversity.
