The first weekend of the Copa America Centenario wowed soccer fans as eight games between the best national teams on the American continent took center stage, giving them the opportunity to win the first points of the tournament.
The 16 teams are crisscrossing the U.S. on Delta charter planes, playing in matches in 10 cities. As the official airline of this historic tournament, Delta is using its experience supporting top athletes to provide the soccer players with a First Class Delta travel experience.
Delta will be present at the games as well, where it will strengthen its ties with fans and customers by inviting them to be a part of the Latin American and Caribbean passion for soccer—a passion that has been growing in the U.S. as well.
Delta will have a booth to highlight airline’s brand presence at key tournament matches:

A giant inflatable version of the tournament’s official soccer ball will be on display at Delta’s booth in the stadiums for guests to sign and take pictures with to share on social media.
The booths will also have a camera mounted behind a net, similar to real match Goal Cams. Participants will be able to take a penalty kick toward the camera, while a printed backdrop behind them makes it look like they're kicking a goal in a real stadium. The video of soccer fans’ goals will be available for sharing on social media as well.
Guests will also have the opportunity to enroll in the Delta SkyMiles frequent flyer program while at the stadiums. Those who do will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win a Delta trip for two to anywhere in Latin America and the Caribbean.
