Delta’s multi-billion dollar investment in the customer experience over the past several years focuses on the complete travel ribbon – from booking to in-flight to the ride home.


The onboard customer experience investment includes a cabin modernization program featuring new seats, seatback entertainment systems with free entertainment, free mobile messaging, high-capacity overhead bins, access to Wi-Fi on nearly all flights, free Main Cabin meals on select flights, upgraded Main Cabin snacks, an Alessi-designed collection of serviceware, Westin Heavenly In-Flight Bedding, chef-curated meals paired with wines hand-selected by Master Sommelier Andrea Robinson, noise-canceling LSTN headphones and more. Delta has also made significant investments in the customer experience on the ground, in addition to plans to add nearly 250 new aircraft to its fleet in coming years. These include new Delta Sky Club locations in Seattle and Atlanta, among others, and Club renovations in Nashville, Dallas, Newark and Minneapolis-St. Paul. In-flight Wi-Fi


Delta operates the world's largest Wi-Fi equipped fleet, including its entire fleet of 700 domestic mainline aircraft. More than 1,100 Delta aircraft, including nearly all Delta Connection two-class regional jets and 100 percent of its long-haul international fleet, are equipped with in-flight Wi-Fi, offering access to more than 370,000 customers per day.


Delta’s High-Speed Wi-Fi, powered by Gogo’s 2Ku Wi-Fi technology, is delivering next-generation technology that provides consistent, uninterrupted coverage anywhere in the world, including over oceans. Delta has the largest current fleet of Gogo 2Ku aircraft and the largest commitment to 2Ku of any airline in the world. Over the next two years, Delta is set to install over 600 aircraft with High-Speed Wi-Fi for domestic and international flights. The airline’s High-Speed 2Ku Wi-Fi gives customers an at-home experience in flight, including the ability to stream video and use work-related networks, such as VPN, globally. Unlike prior versions of in-flight technology on Delta, customers may now use Wi-Fi from gate to gate on 2Ku-enabled aircraft.





Delta Studio


Delta offers free entertainment options, including hit movies, popular television shows, music and video games, on all two-class aircraft, which make up 90 percent of Delta's fleet. Delta operates the world’s largest in-flight entertainment-equipped fleet, with more than 1,000 aircraft offering Delta Studio via streaming through laptops, mobile devices and tablets, in addition to more than 500 aircraft equipped with seatback entertainment systems.


Delta Studio consistently provides the best depth and breadth of content in the skies, from its lineup of best picture nominees during awards season to having nearly all of the top-grossing recent box office hits in its repertoire. The in-flight entertainment system currently offers up to 300 movies, including more than 50 foreign titles, 750 TV shows, 1,500 songs, up to 18 channels of live satellite TV on select aircraft and a selection of games on aircraft with seatback entertainment systems.

Delta offers customers more aircraft with seatback entertainment than any airline in the world, installing its 500th aircraft with seatback entertainment in July. With a commitment to install over 600 aircraft with seatback screens by the end of 2018, in partnership with Panasonic, Delta is putting choice in the hands of the customer. In addition to investing in seatback entertainment, customers can also choose to stream Delta Studio to their personal devices on the airline’s entire mainline fleet as well as all two-class regional aircraft.

  • In February 2017, Delta debuted its renovated Delta Sky Clubs in Newark and Minneapolis.

  • SkyMiles Members can use their miles to travel to over 1,000 global destinations.
  • Award tickets start at just 10,000 miles, plus taxes and fees, for one-way awards.
  • Rollover for Medallion Qualifying Miles (MQMs) so that if you earn more MQMs than you need to get to status in a year, you can bank the extra MQMs and carry them forward to help you earn status for the next year.

In select markets, Delta also has partnerships with Porsche and BLADE for seamless transfers and transportation on the ground.
