Delta is adding a stop to its 747 Employee Farewell Tour on Dec. 18, heading to Paine Field in Everett, Wash., home of the final assembly production line that produced Delta's Boeing 747 fleet.

The flight will originate in Detroit and continue onto SeaTac International Airport after a brief event and two-hour visit to the aircraft's birthplace.

A Delta 747 will also make an appearance in Los Angeles on Dec. 20 to give Delta employees at LAX a chance to tour the aircraft.

Delta previously announced it will take the one of its remaining 747s on an Employee Farewell Tour from Detroit to Seattle on Dec. 18, Seattle to Atlanta on Dec. 19 and Atlanta to Minneapolis-St. Paul on Dec. 20.

The final regularly scheduled 747 passenger flight will operate from Detroit to Seoul-Incheon on Dec. 15 and return to Detroit from Seoul on Dec. 17.
