NEW YORK, June 15, 2010 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) invites area baseball fans to “play ball” at an interactive experience celebrating the city’s two beloved teams. As the Official Airline of the New York Mets and New York Yankees, Delta is commemorating the iconic interleague series between the teams by hosting “The Delta Dugout” at Madison Square Park, June 18-20, 2010. The three-day fan event will feature player appearances, baseball-themed activities, live games and giveaways.
“As the official airline of New York baseball, we want to give fans and our customers an exciting venue where they can celebrate the interleague series between these two iconic teams,” said Gail Grimmett, Delta’s Senior Vice President New York. “The Delta Dugout at Madison Square Park is a one-of-a-kind, three-day interactive experience that all baseball fans will enjoy -- one that celebrates Delta’s commitment to New York and one of the city’s favorite sports.”
The Delta Dugout will feature appearances by current and former Yankees and Mets players, along with a special musical performance from Yankees legend Bernie Williams. An array of games for kids, including Wii Batting and fast pitch stations, a photo booth and prize giveaways** will make this a not-to-be-missed family event. Fans will also enjoy stadium-style concessions and specialty food and beverages, including “The Delta Dugout Dog,” a limited edition hot dog to be featured at Madison Square Park’s Shake Shack throughout the weekend. Live game coverage of the interleague series will be provided on a Jumbotron at the center of the park.
Throughout the three-day event, The Delta Dugout will offer major league giveaways, including ticket packages to Mets and Yankees games, special ballgame events and round-trip domestic and international tickets on Delta**. Additionally, Delta will host the Sky360 Lounge, where it will display elements of its premium BusinessElite in-flight experience, including lie-flat seats and information on its award-winning culinary offerings.

Friday, June 18, 10AM – 10PM: Opening Day
- 11am: Delta’s Madison Square 2nd Annual “Fan Flair” Challenge, judged by New York Yankees Pitcher Joba Chamberlain and New York Mets Pitcher Mike Pelfrey. Yankees and Mets fans are invited to dress in their best team-themed attire for a chance to win tickets to future Mets and Yankees games.

Delta representatives will hand special tickets redeemable for prizes. To enter, participants must receive an entry ticket from a Delta Dugout Event Staff at a designated area, upon entering the park.
To win, participants must be present during the drawing call, which will take place on stage periodically during the game viewing in the designated viewing party area in Madison Square Park. Limit one entry ticket/prize per participant. Winners will be drawn at random during the event from entries received on that date. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible entries handed out. Participants need to be present to win. If a potential winner is not present, the entry will be void and an alternate entry will be drawn. Potential winners must sign and return an affidavit of eligibility/publicity release before award of prize.
6 prizes of round-trip travel in the continental U.S. (ARV: $400 each), grandstand tickets for two to Citi Field on August 25 (ARV $38) and grandstand tickets for two to Yankee Stadium on August 4 (ARV $44) will be awarded. All prizes are non-refundable may not be exchanged. Lost, stolen or otherwise destroyed prizes will not be replaced. Travel prizes awarded in the form of certificates redeemable for tickets.
