ATHENS, May 15, 2014 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL) is resuming its summer seasonal flights between Athens and New York-JFK. The flights will operate daily from May 18, 2014. The flight will operate daily throughout the summer season using an Airbus A330-300 aircraft with 292 seats in conjunction with Delta’s joint venture partner Air France KLM and Alitalia.
“The summer is always the most popular time for leisure travel so it’s important we offer services to meet this demand,” said Perry Cantarutti, Delta’s senior vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa. “New York is one of the world’s most popular tourist destinations with 55 million people expected to visit this year. Our nonstop flights from Athens will make it more convenient for people to visit and allow our customers to maximize the time they spend in the U.S.”

Delta’s flight from Athens features 33 fully flat-bed seats in BusinessElite. Each forward-facing seat converts to a 180-degree full flat-bed and offers direct aisle access in a 1x2x1 configuration.
Other product initiatives being rolled out across Delta’s international fleet include the expansion of Wi-Fi service by the end of 2015.
