ATLANTA, May 6, 2009 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today reported traffic results for April 2009. System traffic in April, including both Delta and Northwest operations, decreased 7.7 percent compared to April 2008 on a 7.1 percent decrease in capacity, and load factor declined 0.5 points to 81.4 percent. Domestic traffic decreased 7.0 percent year over year on a 6.9 percent decrease in capacity. Domestic load factor declined 0.1 point to 83.1 percent. International traffic decreased 8.9 percent year over year on a 7.2 percent decrease in capacity, and load factor declined 1.4 points to 78.6 percent. Detailed traffic and capacity are attached.
