In three months, Delta and GOL employees will join forces in Recife, Brazil — not to fly customers as they do every day, but to build six homes for families during Delta's 16th Global Build with Habitat for Humanity March 15-24, 2019. The build will be in Nossa Senhora do Ó, a small town near Recife.
The Global Build is one of Delta's signature community engagement events underscoring that airline travel goes beyond connecting destinations; it is also about experiences, cultures, people and the benefit of the global community. A group comprised of 54 active Delta employees, two retirees, four customers and 12 GOL employees will construct six homes working side by side with the families who will live in them.
Three facts about Delta and Habitat for Humanity:

- This will be Delta's first Habitat build in Brazil, which will become the 13th country Delta has partnered with Habitat to build homes.
- Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1976 in Georgia and works in local communities across all 50 states in the U.S. and in more than 70 countries worldwide.
