Delta celebrates 10 years of uninterrupted service in Nicaragua, as well as continued growth in the market. Delta introduced a nonstop flight between Managua and Los Angeles in June, complementing its daily services between Nicaragua’s capital city and Atlanta.

"Celebrating 10 years of uninterrupted service in Nicaragua underscores Delta’s strength in the region, as we connect 10 Central American cities in seven countries with key destinations in the United States,” said Jose Zapata, Delta’s General Manager for Central America and the Caribbean. “Delta is the only airline that offers the convenience of weekly nonstop service between Managua and Los Angeles, timed for a late departure to provide business travelers a full workday before their flight.”

Nicaraguans traveling to Los Angeles can enjoy Delta’s recent $229 million facilities investment at the Los Angeles International Airport, including a newly remodeled Delta Sky Club, a renovated Sky Priority lobby and a brand-new premium check-in experience, Delta ONE at LAX. Once in Los Angeles, customers have many options for connections to destinations in other Western states and Northern California, such as Jackson Hole, Las Vegas, Oakland, Portland, Phoenix, San Diego, Seattle, San Francisco, San Jose, Salt Lake City and Sacramento.

Customers traveling between Managua and Atlanta benefit from an enhanced experience at the Maynard H. Jackson International Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, which features full Spanish signage throughout the airport, designed especially for Hispanic travelers. From its state-of-the-art terminal, travelers have access to Delta’s more than 960 peak-day flights, including nonstop service to 67 international destinations.

“We are seeing steady growth in Nicaragua and in all of Central America, where more and more customers entrust their business travel to Delta and consider it their airline of choice to visit families and friends in the United States,” added Zapata.
