SAO PAULO and SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, July 8, 2014 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today celebrates its 10th anniversary of uninterrupted service in the Dominican Republic, highlighting the key role this mainly tourism destination plays in the continued growth and development of the company’s network between the United States and Latin America.

"We are proud to celebrate 10 years of service and pleased to continue increasing our presence in the market by offering new options for connecting our international hubs in the United States with main destinations in the Dominican Republic,” said Maria Fernanda Price, Delta’s regional manager for the Caribbean. “We have an increased momentum in the market, and we want to thank our customers for showing their preference every day when flying with Delta.”

Delta recently expanded its service from Santiago and Santo Domingo to JFK-New York with four daily flights. Customers from these Dominican cities will enjoy the benefits of the $1.4 billion expansion and enhancement of Terminal 4 at JFK. The new terminal provides increased international access to customers from the Dominican Republic traveling to New York and will offer a state-of-the-art facility to those wishing to visit the Caribbean country.

Delta also connects Santo Domingo to its Atlanta hub with a daily flight. From Atlanta, Dominican travelers have access to more than 950 daily flights to 224 destinations that Delta operates, including nonstop service to 66 international destinations. As part of its commitment to improving customer experience, both in flight and on the ground, Delta made a major investment at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport by building a new international terminal, which opened in spring 2012 and features full Spanish signage throughout the terminal.

Punta Cana is another key tourism destination for Delta customers in the Dominican Republic. Delta offers the convenient frequency of between 14 and 21 weekly flights from Atlanta, depending on the season; one daily service from JFK-New York to Punta Cana; and weekly seasonal flights connecting this leisure destination with Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Detroit and Minneapolis.
