Delta's regional operation on Wednesday notched its 150th day without a cancellation across the combined Delta Connection portfolio — a major milestone that highlights a continued and significant operational improvement that builds on strong results achieved in 2017.

The Delta Connection portfolio, which now includes Compass, Endeavor Air, Go Jet, Republic and SkyWest following ExpressJet's exit from the group in late November, have put an intense focus on on-time reliability and completion factor in 2018 to provide a mainline-like operation. The group exceeded its 2017 record of 112 cancel-free days in early October.

"We're bringing the Delta standard of service to customers across the entire operation—whether that's on a mainline aircraft or regional jet," said David Garrison, S.V.P. — Delta Connection and CEO of Endeavor Air. "Delta continues to raise the bar in terms of operational reliability and the entire Delta Connection portfolio has made real strides to keep pace, posting industry-leading metrics month after month."

With solid completion factor performance, the Delta Connection group has also turned its attention on reducing lengthy delays, and so far in 2018, the airlines have had approximately 1,700 fewer maintenance and crew-related delays in excess of three hours – a 26 percent reduction year-over-year.

For its part, Delta's mainline operation has notched 233 days of 100 percent completion factor year-to-date and combined with Delta Connection, has had 135 total Brand Days this year – days with no Delta mainline or Delta Connection cancellations. That metric well exceeds the 90 total Brand Days achieved in 2017.
