Beginning Wednesday, even non-New Yorkers will have an opportunity to sample one of the best new ideas to come to the bagel world. First class flyers on select Delta flights departing New York’s LaGuardia Airport will receive Bantam Bagels as part of their meal service. And what could be more perfect than a reinvented version the Big Apple’s unofficial delicacy?

The mini, ball-shaped bagels—you might call them the donut holes of the bagel world—are stuffed with cream cheese filling and served warm. The new product offering is part of Delta’s commitment to expose flyers to locally-sourced and unique culinary options on board flights.

Endorsed in 2014 by Oprah on the talk show host’s annual list of Favorite Things, Bantam Bagels are the culinary brainchild of Nick and Elyse Oleksak. The couple was featured on ABC’s Shark Tank earlier this year where they garnered financial and equity support from QVC mogul Lori Greiner.

Bantam Bagels will be served on morning flights departing LaGuardia between 900 and 1,499 miles helping the small purveyor take their mission of “Changing the Way New York Bagels” to a national audience. Delta’s busy New York-LGA to Atlanta route will also feature the bite-size treats.

Delta is increasingly adding more regional flavors on board its flights across the country. Out of Atlanta, select evening domestic flights began serving Atlanta hometown favorite Honeysuckle Gelato. Also being served on flights system-wide are Nourish Snacks, a New York-based company started by NBC’s health guru Joy Bauer.
