Delta has a long history of hiring military talent, having military-friendly policies, and honoring men and women in uniform. VEN is also a wonderful professional development and networking resource for individuals with military backgrounds.”
Companies and organizations earning the Military Friendly Employer designation were evaluated using three data sources: publicly available data from federal agencies, personal opinion data from veteran employees, and proprietary Military Friendly survey data from participating organizations. More than 200 companies participated in the Military Friendly Employers portion of the 2018 survey.
Victory Media determined the ratings methodology, criteria and weightings with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining an organization’s survey score with an assessment of the organization’s ability to meet thresholds for Applicants, New Hire Retention, Employee Turnover, and Promotion and Advancement of veterans and military employees.
“Companies that have earned this designation have exceptionally strong hiring programs and meaningful jobs for transitioning service members, veterans and spouses,” said Daniel Nichols, Chief Product Officer at Victory Media. “Our Military Friendly Employers have moved beyond answering ‘why hire military?’ They are truly aligning their jobs and recruiting efforts with Military Friendly Schools to translate military competencies into civilian careers.”
