NEW YORK, Oct. 23, 2008 – Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) today announced the extension of its special promotion with US Helicopter for service between New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) and two heliports in Manhattan. 

Customers in domestic flights in Economy Class to or from its hub at JFK will continue to enjoy a discounted one-way fare of $45* from the published fare of $159* for US Helicopter Airport Shuttle Service.  The extended offer will be valid for tickets purchased after Nov.1, 2008 and is valid for travel through Dec. 31, 2008.  *Additional taxes/fees/restrictions apply; additional details are listed below.

A one-way flight on US Helicopter is complimentary** when purchasing eligible First class, Business Class or unrestricted Economy tickets. **Additional taxes/fees/restrictions apply; details are included below.

US Helicopter operates 27 daily flights, Monday through Friday, connecting the Downtown Manhattan Heliport near Wall Street or the East 34th Street Heliport in Midtown Manhattan with Delta’s Terminal 3, Gate 11 at JFK. Customers can book via delta.com, through Delta Reservations at (800) 221-1212, or through your travel agent. 
 
Eligible Delta passengers will enjoy the convenience and ease of US Helicopter service, including:

  • Eight-minute1 travel time between New York City Heliports in Midtown and Downtown Manhattan and JFK, with flights operating 27 times daily;
  • Federally regulated TSA security clearance at NYC Heliports before arriving at JFK for departing flights; customers land inside the secure area of JFK, which means TSA security screening is not required again at the airport for Delta Air Lines flights;
  • Convenient check-in and boarding passes to final destinations (for both domestic and international travelers departing from and arriving in Manhattan); and
  • Baggage check to final destination (for passengers traveling to and from Manhattan).


US Helicopter (OTC Bulletin Board: USHP) is the first scheduled airline helicopter service between Manhattan, JFK and Newark Airports in more than two decades. Discounted one-way rate of $45 is valid for tickets purchased on DL code with fare basis beginning with B, M or H and valid for Domestic and International flights originating or terminating at the heliport (TSS, JRB) traveling via JFK.  Offer valid for tickets purchased on or after Nov. 1, 2008 through Dec. 31,  2008.  Valid for travel Nov. 1, 2008 through Dec. 31, 2008.  Origin or termination point must be JRB or TSS, via JFK.
