Delta is partnering with Habitat for Humanity for the airline’s annual domestic builds.

This year’s project will begin with builds in Atlanta and Lovejoy, Ga., in September, followed by several volunteer work days scheduled through October. A total of seven homes will be built in six cities, including a New York home that will be funded by Delta’s on-board recycling program.

“Delta people are committed to making a difference in the communities where we live, work and serve each day,” said Tad Hutcheson, Delta’s V.P. – Community Affairs. “I am proud of our employees for donating their valued time and resources to help families build safe, affordable homes around the globe, while continuing display the values of our brand.”

Through local and national support, Delta employees have helped build or rehab 214 Habitat homes in 11 countries around the world. Habitat for Humanity is one of Delta’s core community partners as it acknowledges the need for safe, decent and affordable shelter around the globe.

This year’s build will mark Delta’s 215-221 homes build through its partnership with Habitat for Humanity.
