NEW YORK, October 26, 2006 – As a part of Delta Air Lines’ ongoing commitment to the Latin community in the United States and throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, the world’s fastest growing international airline has announced that it will sponsor for the first time the seventh annual Latin GRAMMY® Awards which this year will be held at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 2, 2006.
“The Latin GRAMMY® Awards is a beacon for recognizing Latino talent who have soared high in their respective musical genres, and Delta is delighted to support this celebration of cultural diversity,” said Joanne Smith, Delta’s vice president of Marketing. “This sponsorship also compliments Delta’s continued commitment to our Hispanic and non-Hispanic customers as we expand to new, popular Latin American routes.”
