Delta has issued a winter weather waiver as the Northeast region braces for another winter storm system forecasted to bring frozen and mixed precipitation on Tuesday, making this the third winter weather event to hit the region this month. The waiver allows customers traveling to, from or though affected cities, on Tuesday, to make a one-time change to their travel plans, and includes cities from New York and Boston up through Bangor, Maine.

Winds will not be as operationally limiting as previous winter systems, though the airline will proactively cancel flights in the region due to the heavy snowfall. As of Sunday evening forecast models predict the New York airports to see one to three inches, while Boston will get six to nine inches and Bangor will see upwards of ten inches by Tuesday night.

Customers are encouraged to check  or the Fly Delta Mobile App for the latest flight status.
