"This new service is thrilling for not only our community, but also for those who love to come to the Keys," said Virginia A. Panico, Executive Vice President — Key West Chamber of Commerce. "We look forward to working with Delta to ensure a successful route and to welcoming new visitors to our area."

Delta's new Key West service follows a number of recent product enhancements on flights to destinations across Florida, as the airline has increased the number of seats with new Airbus A321 aircraft and renovated Airbus A320s, both of which offer seatback entertainment, on a mix of routes throughout the state. The Key West flight also joins new winter service to the Caribbean from New York-JFK to Kingston, Port-Au-Prince and Antigua, along with a second daily flight to Nassau. Saturday service between JFK and St. Maarten will increase to a daily frequency next month.

Delta also flies daily between Key West and Atlanta year-round.
