Delta enhanced its existing electronic gift card product with the addition of a new physical gift card product this weekend. The new gift card will initially be sold on delta.com. In the future, gift cards will also be sold through corporate incentive portals and other business to business channels.
Customers can purchase the new gift cards as well as the pre-existing eGift cards at www.delta.com/giftcards in denominations ranging from $50 to $1,000 per card in $5 increments. The cards can include personalized messages for the accompanying the gift card letter.
Delta gift cards can be redeemed for Delta marketed flight purchases only via delta.com, Reservations and at airport locations. They can also be redeemed for the air portion of a Delta Vacations package over the phone.
Future phases will include the ability to redeem gift cards for tickets and ancillary products across all Delta direct channels including onboard purchases, airport self-service kiosks and Delta Sky Clubs. Gift card sales through third-party channels like retail, grocery and drug stores are also on Delta’s roadmap as part of the future sales opportunities planned for 2015.
Additional information is available on delta.com for both the eGift and physical gift cards including full terms and conditions.
Delta’s new gift cards will be available on delta.com this holiday season.
