ROME – Delta Air Lines is moving its departure facilities at Rome’s Leonardo da Vinci – Fiumicino Airport. Effective February 1, 2017, Delta’s check-in and ticketing desks will be co-located in Terminal 1, alongside joint venture partner Alitalia, AirFrance and KLM.
The move is part of the airport’s redevelopment plan of Fiumicino Airport. All airlines that were previously housed in Terminal 5 are being moved to other terminals to allow for renovation work. Once customers have cleared security, Delta’s flights will operate from E gates.
“Moving to Terminal 1 represents a significant improvement in the customer experience. Our customers will have access to better amenities, including new lounges, restaurants and retail outlets,” said Mary Loeffelholz, Delta’s Vice President, Airport Customer Service – International. “Being co-located with Alitalia and our joint venture partners will also help to streamline our service for connecting passengers.”
Delta flies daily to Rome from both Atlanta and New York-JFK and seasonally from Detroit.
Tickets for Delta’s flights are available through Delta Air Lines on 892 057, www.delta.com or via travel agents.
