Delta Air Lines received the 2018 Districtwide Partner of the Year award from Atlanta Public Schools (APS) at the APSyeS Awards on Nov. 7. Delta was nominated by the principals at Hutchinson and Dobbs Elementary Schools for the meaningful work Delta volunteers are doing in those two schools to help improve literacy in the next generation of customers and employees. The effort is part of a five-year partnership with APS that began in 2017. 

"In my time as Superintendent of Atlanta Public Schools, I have been humbled by the generosity of the philanthropic community. There is no finer example of this than Delta Air Lines' commitment to our district, and for this reason it is with great pleasure that I share that APS is honoring Delta as our Districtwide Partner of the Year," said APS Superintendent Dr. Meria Carstarphen.
