Available on Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Spotify and TuneIn for employees, customers and podcast listeners, each episode centers around universal human experiences — like the desire for love, finding a sense of belonging, or pursuing a future of our own design. The first episode about community is now available to listen, and the following two will roll out in the coming weeks:
"Community" (live Nov. 25): We all seek a place to belong, we all seek "our people" — those communities that speak to our soul and feel like they understand us even if we've never met. We'll explore our shared desire to belong, and the diversity of spaces in which we find it, starting with celebrity Chef Marcus Samuelsson whose journey took him from Ethiopia to Sweden until finally finding his home in Harlem.
"Love" (live Dec. 2): Spanning across romantic, familial, and platonic love, this episode takes us through a powerful examination of how connection to those most important to us can spur exploration. We hear from Delta flight attendant Eugenia Hart, who moved across the Atlantic to start a new life with her then-fiancé.
"Future" (live Dec. 9): The wonder of opportunity is an itch that causes so many of us to explore past our doorstep. We'll relive memories of embarking into the unknown, with a hopeful but curious eye of what the future could hold.
StoryCorps is a non-profit organization whose mission is to record, preserve and share humanity's stories in order to build connections between people and create a more just and compassionate world. And as Delta seeks to make the world a smaller place by bringing people closer together, the stories in these podcasts underscore that there is more that connects us than divides us.
Delta has previously partnered with StoryCorps to share stories of Delta's culture through employees and customers. You can re-listen here.
