Delta, a longtime supporter of the LGBTQ community, celebrates diversity, acceptance and inclusion during Pride Month this June and International Pride events in July as the official airline sponsor of 16 Pride initiatives across the U.S., Canada, and the U.K.
For several years Delta has teamed up annually with some of the largest regional Pride events around the world. Its 2017 partnerships include Circle City IN Pride in Indianapolis, the Nashville Pride Equality Walk, Motor City Pride in Detroit, NYC Heritage of Pride, Seattle PrideFest, Seattle Pride, Twin Cities Pride in Minneapolis, Utah Pride Festival in Salt Lake City, Cincinnati Pride, Boston Pride, Toronto Pride and Pride in London.
Delta marks its presence for the first time at the Pride in London as the official airline. Delta will celebrate the local LGBTQ community alongside Virgin Atlantic in Pride parades and festivities in Atlanta, Boston, London, New York and Seattle.
Delta was recently named a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality, attaining a 100 percent Corporate Equality Index score from the Human Rights Campaign.
“Equality and inclusion are core values at Delta and the reason we support Pride events throughout the world,” said Tad Hutcheson, Managing Director — Community Engagement.
Representatives of Delta's Employee Equality Network (DEEN) in each city as well as fellow employees, friends, family volunteers will don Delta gear to march in the parades.
Delta is also the official airline of Atlanta Pride and Orlando Come Out with Pride events in October.
