Delta continued spreading holiday cheer to its youngest customers by giving away the bear bags from its TV commercial at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on Wednesday.

The surprise giveaway happened at the south terminal baggage claim area at the airport. As customers arrived at baggage claim, festive Delta flight attendants rolled out the bear bags to the delight of children traveling with their families. The children also received candy canes and Delta wings. Greg Kennedy, SVP – Atlanta Worldport and a member of the Board of Governors for Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, joined the festivities by helping distribute the bags, passing out candy canes and pinning wings.

Parents and other participants shared their photos from the event via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, and Instagram using the hashtag #bearbag. On Facebook, the photo gallery from the event received more than 5,000 “likes” and was shared by 350 followers.

As longtime partners of Children’s Miracle Network hospitals, Delta first brought the bear bags to life and filled them with toys for children undergoing treatment at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta over the holidays. A select number of the bags were also made available to the public in exchange for a donation to Children’s Miracle Network.

Bringing the bear bags to life supports Delta’s effort to be a good steward of the communities it serves through the airline’s Force For Global Good.
