On Sunday, Feb. 14, Delta customers flying between New York’s John F. Kennedy airport and San Francisco or Los Angeles will receive complimentary mini bottles of Veuve du Vernay Rosé sparkling wine and a three-pack of Baked by Melissa bite-size cupcakes in the main cabin.

In addition to the trio pack of cupcakes, all Delta One customers will be treated to a glass of Veuve du Vernay Brut Rosé sparkling wine.

“We love our customers, and are passionate about creating the best possible experience in flight for them each and every day,” said Allison Ausband, Senior Vice President - In-Flight Service. “What better way to show our appreciation for them than with delicious Baked By Melissa bite-size cupcakes and Veuve du Vernay Rosé sparkling wine.”

Customers will enjoy Baked by Melissa’s signature, bite-size cupcakes, in three flavors including:

  • Chocolate velvet – red velvet cake  with fudge stuffing, chocolate icing and crumble topping
  • Tie-dye pink sugar cookie – red, pink and white tie-dye cake with sugar cookie icing and red and pink sugar crystal topping
  • Veuve du Vernay Rose.jpg
Popping chocolate covered strawberry – chocolate cake with marshmallow cream stuffing, strawberry icing and popping dark chocolate brittle topping

As Delta continues to make evolutionally enhancements to its culinary experience, it is focused on partnering with local brands to bring their own unique products to the sky.

“Delta partners with beloved local brands like Baked By Melissa to elevate the on-board experience for our customers,” Ausband said. “A crucial component of our overall strategy is supporting local suppliers and sourcing local and fresh ingredients.”

In 2009, Baked by Melissa opened its first shop in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. Today, Baked By Melissa operates 14 locations, and is known for its signature, bite-size cupcakes.
