Delta was honored in four separate categories of Recommend magazine’s Readers’ Choice Awards, highlighting airline’s global service. This is the fifth year running that Delta has won “Best Travel Agent Support.”

"These awards are really for our 80,000 employees around the world, who strive to deliver industry-leading service every day," said Steve Sear, Senior Vice President - Global Sales. "We are also pleased to see that our alliances strategy, in addition to our organic growth with new routes, is proving successful and helping us to earn customer preference and build strong relationships with our travel agency partners worldwide."


The awards recognize Delta’s growth and commitment to greatness, as demonstrated by the millions of dollars it has invested in improving onboard customer experience. From chef-inspired meals and improvements in seating and entertainment to achieving record-setting operational reliability in 2015, Delta continues to push itself to be even better.

Part of this is Delta’s strategy that allows customers to access a seamless global network, achieved through its partnerships with other carriers around the world. Most recently, Delta has invested in Virgin Atlantic Airways, China Eastern, Aeromexico and GOL Linhas Aereas Inteligentes to further expand its service coverage and provide more travel options for its customers.

Delta celebrated its travel agent partners with its Travel Agency Appreciation Month, held in Latin America and the Caribbean this August to honor their work and recognize their importance.

The 19th Annual Readers’ Choice Awards were voted on by the magazine’s 130,000 travel agent readers in September and October to recognize top tour operators, destinations, cruise lines, hotels, airlines and rail vacation providers, among other travel suppliers. “Year after year, Delta excels and clearly continues to be the airline of choice among our travel agent readers of Recommend,” said Terence Murphy, Recommend’s Associate Publisher.
