Delta has won the accolade of Best Airline Website at the second annual Travolution Awards in London. Cited for its simplicity and ease of use, Delta beat back competition from four other shortlisted airlines, including British Airways and Ryanair.

“In a sector where differentiation is a challenge, this website manages to successfully combine the basic functionality expected, with a clean crisp design, clear navigation and information about the airline’s product,” said the judging panel.

“To have beaten a host of U.K.-based airlines is a wonderful achievement for Delta and everyone involved in,” said Frank Jahangir, Delta's Staff Vice President, Sales – Europe, Middle East and Africa, who collected the award. “We are making many inroads London and having our website recognized in this way furthers our brand awareness among industry peers.”

Travolution is a portal and newsletter for the online travel industry and part of the Travel Weekly Group, one of the U.K.’s leading travel trade groups. The awards were judged by a panel of travel industry experts, including online travel agents, booking search engines and distribution partners. The awards covered a wide range of categories from best holiday company to best use of mobile, trade supplier and car hire.
