With improving weather in the Northeast, Delta expects a strong operational day Thursday at the New York metro and Boston airports following a Nor’easter that brought several inches of snow to the region.
Approximately 80 residual cancellations as a result of Wednesday’s storm impact remain on the books Thursday. No additional cancellations are expected, though a small number of additional flight disruptions are possible as Delta teams work diligently to recover the operation and get aircraft and customers moving.
“Once again, faced with a challenging weather system, Delta people took care of our customers to rebound the operation quickly and safely,” said Dave Holtz, Delta’s Senior Vice President of the airline’s Operations and Customer Center. “Hat’s off to the Delta team who took head-on the challenge of yet another winter storm.”
Customers are advised to check the status of their flight via the Fly Delta Mobile app or on Delta.com.
