ATLANTA, June 2, 2006 – Delta’s SkyMiles® customers now can dial for miles. The airline today announced its new partnership with Proximiti Communications, Inc. that will allow SkyMiles members to earn miles when switching their home, home office or small business phone service to Proximiti.
Beginning today, SkyMiles members with broadband data connections will earn miles when they replace their traditional phone service with Proximiti’s voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) service - a technology that allows customers to make phone calls via the Internet.
Members may log on to proximiti.com/delta or call 1-800-680-1148 to sign up for service. They will earn miles when registering for one of three plans:
- Digital Phone Service – Select: Members can earn 7,000 miles with this plan, which includes unlimited local and long distance in the United States and Canada; caller ID, call waiting and voicemail; free calling to other Proximiti customers; free activation, as well as a free telephone adapter with six months of service. It also includes Proximiti Center, a voice-activated suite of Web-based calling and messaging features such as SoftPhone, which allows customers to place and receive calls through a laptop or desktop PC.
- Digital Phone Service – SOHO: Members can earn 7,000 miles with this plan, which includes two business lines: one with unlimited local and long distance calling in the United States and Canada, and the second with a dedicated fax line including 600 minutes of outbound calling. Both lines include caller ID, call waiting and voicemail; free calling to other Proximiti customers, as well as free activation and a free wireless router/adapter with 12 months of service.
- Complete Business Communications Solution: Members can earn up to 35,000 miles with this plan, which includes telephone service, Internet access and upgraded phone systems.
