Traveling with little ones just got more fun – and more educational. Delta has teamed up with popular learn-to-read app HOMER to bring a suite of award-winning learning content to Delta Studio in celebration of National Reading Month, giving families the ability to turn flying time into learning time.

Starting this month, families traveling with Delta can access a selection of HOMER's fun and engaging stories and songs, designed to get children of all reading levels excited about learning.

Available through the "Sky Kids" portal on Delta Studio, HOMER content will be updated every other month through an exclusive partnership with BEGiN, the educational technology company behind the HOMER learning platform. Initial content will cover a variety of topics for children 2-8 including:

  • "Meet the Letters:" An A-Z series where Alphabet Animals such as Meet the Letter H give children the skills needed to master letter recognition.
  • "HOMER en Español:" A Spanish collection including fairy tales and fables made famous by The Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, and Aesop.

This move is the latest in Delta's effort to bring new and innovative offerings to customers so they can make the most of their time in-flight. Free to all customers in all cabins, Delta Studio also features up to 300 movies – including a star-studded award season lineup – and around 80 foreign film titles, 550 TV shows and 12 channels of live satellite TV on select flights, a lineup of must-listen podcasts, LinkedIn learning courses taught by expert instructors, and more than 2,500 songs and games like in-flight trivia.* Delta Studio is available on more than 600 aircraft via seatback screens and can be streamed by customers via their personal devices on all of Delta's mainline fleet and most regional aircraft.

*Delta Studio content may vary by aircraft and route.
