The Metro Atlanta Chamber announced today that Delta CEO Ed Bastian will be the organization's 2021 chair. The announcement was made at the group's annual meeting, which included the unveiling of priorities for next year to strengthen workforce development and economic growth in the region.
Delta is a major economic driver in Atlanta and Georgia, with an estimated economic impact of $43.5 billion annually in the region. Earlier this week, Bastian joined Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms and other civic and corporate leaders Monday at a press conference announcing the establishment of the Center for Workforce Innovation, a jobs training program focused on outcomes-based education for high-demand careers.
"Investing in the communities where we live, work and serve is part of our DNA at Delta, and it will be an honor to chair the Metro Atlanta Chamber in 2021," Bastian said.
