Endeavor Air is setting sail on its long-standing "Flagship" call sign in favor of a self-identifying "Endeavor" tag Thursday. The first flight to bear the new EDV call sign was EDV3816 from Quebec City to New York-JFK, which departed on time just after 5 a.m. Thursday morning.
The first domestic departure with the new call sign for Endeavor was EDV3951, from Burlington, Vt., to Detroit.
"This new chapter in our company's history allows Endeavor to embrace the future while celebrating everything we've achieved in our past," said John Daly, Endeavor's Chief Operating Officer. "We believe that this change will give us the missing piece of our identity that our airline needs moving forward."
