Delta's newest flagship aircraft, the Airbus A350-900, arrives to the airline's hub in Atlanta this weekend following its delivery in Toulouse, France, where the state-of-the-art widebody jet is assembled.
The aircraft will enter into service on Oct. 30 when it flies its inaugural international flight from Detroit to Tokyo-Narita International Airport, but not before being put through its paces during two months of test flights to give pilots, maintenance technicians, flight attendants, airport customer service teams and others the opportunity to gain experience with the plane.
Before Ship 3501 arrives in Atlanta, go behind the scenes to watch in three minutes what it took Airbus technicians six months to assemble and test.
Stay tuned to Delta News Hub for updates on the A350's entry into service.
