Delta received two workplace honors this week from Great Place to Work, in partnership with Fortune magazine. The organization announced that Delta has been named among the 50 Best Companies for Diversity (ranked No. 2), as well as the 10 Best Companies for African-Americans (ranked No. 5).Delta is the only airline to receive a ranking on either list.
“This recognition reflects our company’s efforts to be an inclusive, welcoming place to work for our diverse population of employees around the globe,” said Keyra Lynn Johnson, Managing Director –Global Diversity and Inclusion. “It does not signify that we have reached the mark, rather it shows that our efforts thus far are on the right track. Our culture, values and commitment to creating an inclusive environment for all employees will help to position us for success in mirroring the diverse world we serve.”
The Diversity ranking is based on feedback from 448,456 employees at Great Place to Work-certified companies who completed the Trust Index Employee Survey. The Best Workplaces for African-Americans ranking reflects feedback from more than 30,000 African-American employees who completed the survey.
Employees answered 58 questions about how frequently they experience the behaviors that create a great workplace, including how comfortable they are being themselves, the feeling of honest connection with coworkers and their access to senior leadership.
