The coronavirus pandemic has many customers asking, “Is it safe to travel?”
Coronavirus isn’t our first pandemic - we’ve taken what we've learned from H1N1 and Ebola to guide our efforts to provide a flexible, safe travel experience when you’re ready to fly, including:
- Select seat blocking and seating caps to allow comfortable space between passengers
- Sanitizing all flights to keep surfaces clean
- Minimizing interactions by streamlining food service with modified aircraft boarding procedures to promote safe travel distance
- Cleaning cabin air with state-of-the-art HEPA air filtration
- Requiring face coverings for Delta customers and crew
Delta's Travel Well philosophy encompasses all aspects of travel, from checking in, while at our gates, during boarding and on the aircraft - all designed to help provide a safe travel experience.
Delta will continue coordinating with the CDC and other health organizations to ensure we’re doing everything we can for the safety of our employees and customers during this time, and always.
