Delta's LGBTQ employee group, EQUAL, hosted its fourth annual Pride flag-raising ceremony at the airline's Atlanta headquarters and Minneapolis–St. Paul campus to officially kick off Pride Month – a celebration of love, diversity, acceptance and unashamed self-pride for LGBTQ communities and allies across the globe.

Mark Stephens, Vice President — EQUAL & Senior SkyHub Coordinator, reminded attendees in Atlanta of several recent victories, including the company's 100 percent score on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation's Corporate Equality Index in 2017, an achievement that makes Delta one of only five airlines to be recognized as a Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality.

"Pride season is tons of fun and extremely inspiring, but there is nothing more inspirational than working for a company that allows you to be your authentic self at all times and recognizes you truly as equal," said Stephens.

As an official airline sponsor of Pride events in the U.S. and U.K., Delta will celebrate diversity, acceptance and inclusion throughout Pride Month, beginning with the Pride parade in Salt Lake City on June 3.
