ATLANTA, Nov. 1, 2006 – Delta’s Silver and Gold Medallion® SkyMiles members can now get a head start on their holiday shopping. Beginning today and through Dec. 1, 2006, Delta will open the Medallion Marketplace – an exclusive Platinum Medallion benefit – to all Medallion members. The Medallion Marketplace allows members to redeem miles online at delta.com for hundreds of travel and non-travel related merchandise. The catalogue of more than 300 items includes:
- hotel stays
- electronics
- sporting and outdoor equipment
- home and garden items
- gift cards
“The Medallion Marketplace remains an exclusive and popular benefit for Platinum Medallion members and, for a short period, we will offer all of our elite members an opportunity to visit the online marketplace,” said Jeff Robertson, managing director of the SkyMiles program. “Members can redeem miles for friends and family – or themselves – to obtain TVs, grills, tools and more.”
Medallion members may log on to delta.com/medallionmarketplace with their SkyMiles number and PIN at any time, day or night, and use their miles – or a combination of miles and money – to pay for their purchases.
The award-winning Delta SkyMiles program offers members multiple mileage-earning opportunities when flying Delta, Delta Shuttle®, the Delta Connection® carriers, Delta AirElite® and other SkyTeam® airlines. Additional mileage-building opportunities are offered through more than 100 partners such as the Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express, SkyMilesShopping.com, participating hotels, car rental companies, telecommunication services, restaurants, retailers and more.
