As Vice President – Global Cleanliness for Delta Air Lines, Mike Medeiros leads Delta’s industry leading Global Cleanliness team dedicated to innovating and evolving Delta’s high cleanliness standards. Additionally, he has oversight for developing and executing Delta’s cleanliness methods and quality management to ensure a consistently safe and sanitized experience across our facilities and aircraft for employees and customers, alike. Previously, Mike was Vice President of Airport Operations & Strategy where he had a focus on vendor management and created deeper integration with partners to bring better performance and a consistent customer experience. Mike also held the role of Chief Operating Officer at Aeromexico where he was instrumental in elevating Aeromexico’s operational performance.
Since joining Delta in 1988, Mike has held key operational, commercial and corporate support roles across the airline. In addition to his leadership as Vice President – Seattle, where he helped establish Delta as the city’s largest global carrier, Mike previously served as Vice President – Global Human Resources and Talent Development, with a focus on Delta’s unique employee-focused values. He also gained operational expertise in his role as Vice President – New York Operations. Under Mike’s leadership, Delta grew flights at JFK by more than 300 percent, garnered significant operational improvements and relocated to Terminal 4. Prior to JFK, Mike was Director – Airport Customer Service East.
Mike joined Delta in 1988 as an Airport Customer Service agent in Raleigh-Durham, N.C., just prior to graduating from North Carolina State University where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He later graduated from Auburn University with a master’s degree in Business Administration.
