American flags, the national anthem and an in-flight fireworks display: Flight 1776 from Minneapolis to Washington, D.C. on July 4, was not lacking in the patriotic spirit its namesake originates from.
Delta people hosted an Independence Day party for customers with American flag-decorated cookies and giveaways prior to boarding their flight to the nation's capital.
Once in the air, the cabin's lights were dimmed for customers to turn on their battery-powered sparklers as the national anthem "The Star-Spangled Banner" played on board.
Even though our customers on Delta flight 1776 were missing fireworks on the ground yesterday, it didn't mean they had to miss out on the light show.
