Nearly 1,000 football fans traveled to Seoul on Sunday, without ever leaving Seattle.

Ahead of the Seahawks game, Delta transformed part of the official tailgate into a Three-Minute Vacation inspired by the culture, flavors and creative energy of Seoul. The immersive experience invited fans to briefly step away from the traditional game-day environment and discover some of what makes Seoul and Korea compelling destinations.

Through Korean-inspired food, photography, pottery, floral design and personalized photo moments, the activation gave guests a small but memorable preview of the destination, with the goal of turning three minutes of discovery into inspiration for a future trip.

### Bringing Seoul’s contrasts to life

Seoul is a city where centuries of tradition exist alongside contemporary food, art, design and nightlife. Delta’s Three-Minute Vacation brought those different dimensions together in one compact, immersive experience.

Guests explored a visual gallery featuring Seoul-inspired photography and creative elements, encountered traditional and contemporary Korean pottery and stepped into a personalized photo setting designed to transport them to the destination. Korean-inspired floral arrangements and other design details helped create a space that reflected both the heritage and modern energy of Seoul.

The experience also gave fans a literal taste of Korea through Korean food offerings, including Korean salt bread, a soft and savory baked treat that proved popular with tailgate guests.

### Reaching Seattle fans through a major game-day moment

Nearly 1,000 guests directly participated in the Three-Minute Vacation over the course of the afternoon. The activation also gained broader visibility within the tailgate, which welcomed thousands of attendees ahead of the game.

By bringing an international destination experience into the heart of a major Seattle sporting event, Delta reached customers in an unexpected setting and introduced thousands of local fans to Korea as a destination.

The activation also supported Delta’s continued commitment to Seattle, one of the most competitive airline markets in the country. It created a distinctive connection among the city, Delta’s global network and the destinations Seattle customers can experience with the airline.

### Inspiring the real journey

While the activation lasted only a few minutes, it was designed to encourage guests to imagine a much bigger adventure.

Delta connects Seattle travelers with Seoul through daily, year-round service operating seven days a week aboard the Airbus A350-900. Through Delta’s partnership with Korean Air, customers can also connect beyond Seoul to additional destinations across Asia, making it easier to turn their inspiration into a broader journey throughout the region.

The Three-Minute Vacation demonstrated that inspiration for a future journey can begin almost anywhere, including at a football tailgate. By giving fans an opportunity to see, taste and experience a small part of Seoul, Delta helped bring the destination closer to Seattle and offered travelers another reason to make Korea part of their future plans.
