ATLANTA, Oct. 24, 2006 – Delta Air Lines will boost its ability to go the distance, internationally, as the first U.S. carrier to take delivery of Boeing’s 777-200LR aircraft. By adding the world’s longest range commercial jetliner to its fleet, Delta will bolster its international expansion with the ability to connect virtually any two cities around the globe, nonstop. The 777-200LR is the fifth and newest model of the 777 family to enter passenger service. Delta will take delivery of two 777-200LR aircraft in 2008.

BOSTON, Oct. 16, 2006 – Delta Air Lines customers this winter will find it easier to travel between the Magnificent Mile and Back Bay with new nonstop service between Boston and Chicago’s Midway Airport, effective Jan. 11, 2007. With the new service, operated by Delta Connection carrier Comair, Delta will offer customers three daily flights during the week and two daily flights on weekends, offering convenient access for business and leisure customers.

CINCINNATI, Oct. 5, 2006 – Comair has received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to perform repair station maintenance under 14 CFR Part 145. The certification allows Comair’s Northern Kentucky hangar and maintenance support facility to perform third-party work on 50- and 70-seat Bombardier Canadair Regional Jets (CRJs).

System traffic for September 2006 decreased 3.4 percent from September 2005 with a capacity decrease of 5.4 percent. Delta’s system load factor was 74.6 percent in September 2006, up 1.5 points from the same period last year.
