LOS ANGELES, Sept. 13, 2006 – Delta Air Lines this winter will continue its historic expansion between Los Angeles and Mexico and Central America with new nonstop service between the City of Angels and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and Managua, Nicaragua, effective Dec. 15 and 16, respectively. Delta’s new service to Managua will operate two-times weekly while flights to the vacation hotspot of Puerto Vallarta will operate daily. Both routes are subject to foreign government approvals.

ATLANTA, Sept. 12, 2006 – Delta SkyMiles ® members have a new way to earn bonus miles in the SkyMiles Dining & Hotels by Rewards NetworkSM program. Members who register online and then spend $300 or more at participating restaurants before Oct. 31, 2006, will qualify for SkyMiles Dining Elite status and will earn an additional 5 miles per dining dollar spent for the remainder of 2006 and all of 2007.

System traffic for August 2006 decreased 3.0 percent from August 2005 with a capacity decrease of 2.9 percent. Delta’s system load factor was 79.9 percent in August 2006, down 0.1 points from the same period last year.
